Really? Buy more sneakers? Yes!
It seems that people who buy sneakers, and multiple pairs, on a regular basis exhibit signs that their ideas and visions far exceeds others. It is believed that they have the innate ability to authoritatively lead and motivate others. The news story highlights a Nielsen panel that shows there are multiple effective leaders who lead not by their principles but by their choice in footwear.
These qualities were defined as having ideas and vision, and a style with others that is both inclusive and decisive.
The survey of 7,500 people, using market research group Nielsen's online panel, found multi-sneaker buyers were 50 percent more likely to be very assertive and 47 percent more likely to be spontaneous.
I'm not sure if this Mindset Media survey includes actual leaders, but the idea actually sounds funny and absurd. Seeing as that most textbook effective leaders are not highlighted by the shoes they wear but more by the principles with which they lead, I have a hard time understanding just what SHOES have to do with the whole concept.
However, since studies have been conducted, surveys run and since Reuters is a relatively reputable news source, I just have to wait and follow the news story and see what happens.
I mean, sneakers. Really?
Sneakers indeed. I would classify habitual sneaker buyers as practical and pragmatic. But that's definitely not scientific, LOL. ;)
